Thank you for considering Westgate Pet Clinic’s telemedicine consult service. We are using the telemedicine platform Airvet.
Airvet offers two options for consultation.
1.) First Available Vet: This can be used for urgent matters after hours and will connect you with the first available veterinarian. The on-call veterinarian is not a Westgate Pet Clinic veterinarian and can give general advice only. (For example, if you need to go to the emergency clinic after hours).
2.) My Vet: This can be used for non-urgent matters and your veterinarian will call or message you as soon as they’re available. Typically, a call is arranged within 48 hours Monday-Friday. If you have an urgent concern with your pet during business hours, please call the clinic at 612-925-1121 and schedule an appointment for your pet.
Telemedicine pricing $45 per call. Post-operative consults are not associated with a fee, however, you will still need to input your credit card information to set up an account. Your card will not be charged for post-operative rechecks. If medications are prescribed during the call, they can be picked up at the clinic.
Steps to request a telemedicine consult
1.) Download the free Airvet App on your smartphone. Click Here for directions. Choose the Westgate Pet Clinic veterinarian you would like to consult with.
2.) Then email firstname.lastname@example.org to alert Dr. Brek Perry of your request and concern. Please also indicate your availability. Dr. Perry is currently triaging and managing our telemedicine service and will let your primary veterinarian know you are requesting a call. You must be with your pet during the phone consultation.
